Looking after your wellbeing and mental health is key to leading a healthy and balanced life. It is important to take time for yourself, to relax and do something that makes you feel happy. This could include spending time with friends and family, going for a walk in nature, reading a book, or playing a musical instrument. It is also important to talk to someone if you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or sad – talking to a trusted adult, friend, or mental health professional can help you to feel better. We also have a range of extracurricular activities during and after school times that you may want to become involved in.
There are a range of wellbeing resources and support available in school; you can talk to your Form Tutor, Head of Year, Head of Key Stage or a member of our Wellbeing Team. Our school counsellor and school nurse can also provide additional support and guidance if required.
If you feel unable to talk directly to someone in school, you can also complete one of the wellbeing referral forms on the Learner Bulletin to access further support. Remember, you are important and it is ok to take time to care for yourself.
