Please note the following:
- At Ladybridge High School we consider attendance to be of paramount importance. The Education Regulation 2006 states that Headteachers may not grant any leave of absence during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances. School will ask for proof of the circumstances. If parents take their child out of school without permission this could lead to an £160 fine, per parent per child.
- We also require all routine medical appointments, for example to the doctor, the hospital, the dentist , to be made outside of school hours. This will ensure that there is a minimum of disruption to your child’s education. (NB: Opticians appointments are not permitted during school times.)
