While our permanent library space is being developed, we’ve created a temporary home for our books, stories and learning, known as ‘The Nook‘!
Small in size but big in ambition, The Nook gives our learners access to a wide range of titles and resources whilst our central library space is being created in a brand new building at the front of school.
Learners can browse and borrow books digitally through Libib, our online library catalogue, with assistance from our volunteer librarians who manage the lending process. This means learners can explore new reads, reserve books, and enjoy borrowing without needing to visit The Nook in person. Alongside borrowing, The Nook will offer book recommendations, reading challenges, and fun activities on a dedicated Instagram page (@thenook_lbhs), keeping students engaged with stories. Our goal is to make reading accessible, exciting, and interactive, laying the foundations for a permanent library hub at the heart of Ladybridge High School.
