A group of Year 9 learners had an amazing opportunity to take part in a special arts project today, led by Holocaust arts educator Caroline Slifkin, in collaboration with Bolton ACIS and with funding from the Holocaust Education Trust. With the theme, ‘Bridging Generations’, learners explored art created by Holocaust survivors, their children and grandchildren, who shared their intergenerational trauma. Wonderful creative reflections and discussions took place during the sessions and each unique piece of artwork evoked empathy and understanding:
The completed artwork will be on public display in Bolton Central Library from Monday 26th January and continuing for two weeks.
