Today we welcomed Nav from Dhol Drillerz into school to provide dhol drumming sessions to our Year 7 learners. Nav explained the origins and composition of the drums and taught our learners the basics of playing them.
Learners were taught a variety of Bhangra dance moves to complement the sounds of the Dhol drums and enjoyed a round of musical statues to ensure they had perfected their moves!
Learners then used their newly acquired Bhangra moves alongside some unique moves of their own to create their own Bhangra ‘dance-off’ between the two teams!
Thankyou to Nav for providing interesting and entertaining sessions with all our learners, everyone involved very much enjoyed the visit!
