STEM – How Can Engineering Help The Environment?

Years 7, 8 and 10 learners were set an independent maths homework task based on the question, ‘How can engineering help the environment?’, and could create their project in any format. Some excellent work was produced and learners were provided with access to a special Engineering Day with Alex, a mechanical engineer at Network Rail.

Here’s Year 8 and Year 10 enjoying using Ozobot to plot a course using colour codes:

Learners also developed their engineering skills, building trains and testing their structure on the track:

Well done to Ria, Myles and Mashari for successfully building the first working train!

Well done to all learners involved and thanks to Alex for hosting!
