Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you are well.
A video version of this update can be found here:
Firstly, I would like to thank all parents and carers for their support during the course of this academic year. It has been a brilliant year at the school in so many ways, with the launch of some incredible real world learning projects that have challenged our learners and developed a range of skills and qualities. Many of these projects are detailed on this webpost. This year has also seen great progress in our personal development provision, culminating in a wonderful Personal Development Sports Day at the beginning of July and the WISDOM days this week.
We will look to build on these successes next academic year, which will also bring a tightening of our mobile phone policy, which we communicated earlier this term. Please also note the uniform update that Mr Isles communicated earlier last week. All information can be found in the Letters Home section of the school website.
The last day of the school year is on Friday the 18th of July. Learners will be leaving the school site at 1.35pm.
Here are some other key dates to be aware of:
Building work will commence during the summer holidays of a new building at the front of the school, in between the Technology block and the bungalow. The building will accommodate a new library, careers base and classrooms for Humanities and Art. The projected completion date is the end of June 2026. Work is also ongoing to add additional classrooms near the school farm. We have planned the building work to reduce disruption as much as possible. It is expected that parents and carers will still be able to collect learners from the bus turning circle during the building work.
Thank you again for all your support during this academic year.
