School Priorities 2026-27

Our school priorities for the academic year are strategically focused to enable our school to develop and improve in line with our vision and values:

Safeguarding
Ensure staff have the relevant, appropriate information about learners’ vulnerabilities so learners can be well supported in the classroom and wider school.
InclusionImprove outcomes for SEND / vulnerable learners by linking academic, attendance, behaviour and wellbeing information into one impact cycle.
Curriculum & TeachingSecure consistently effective teaching, including responsive and adaptive teaching, marking and feedback verified through evidence of learning rather than compliance with routines.
AchievementIncrease the percentage of Grade 4+, 5+ and Grade 7+ in English and Mathematics to national levels and above.
Attendance & BehaviourReduce repeat suspensions and lost learning, especially for SEND, disadvantaged and social-care cohorts, while preserving the school’s inclusive ethos.
Personal Development & WellbeingFurther improve the consistency of the quality of teaching and assessment in Learning for Life and Personal Development.
Leadership & GovernanceFurther increase the frequency of governor challenge through the precision and availability of impact data.

The seven improvement priorities above are condensed into the following Whole School Priorities for staff and governors:

  • Consistently effective teaching and improved achievement;
  • Improved outcomes and reduced lost learning for vulnerable learners;
  • Precise leadership and governance evaluation of impact.
