Welcome to our celebration of World Afro Day! This year marks a momentous milestone as we join communities around the globe to honour the 10th anniversary of World Afro Day, a decade dedicated to championing hair freedom, education, and identity.

We sat down with our learners to ask how their natural texture and unique styles shape their identity and how it makes them feel. We also discussed the power of hair freedom. Our learners shared why our flexible school policy – embracing choices in hairstyle, colour, and length – matters to them and why having the freedom to style their natural hair builds confidence and empathy.

We also supporting the event’s official celebrations by hosting our very own spectacular catwalk event right here at school in the Drama Studio!
