What a beautiful, sunny morning for the Mayor’s Civic Service and Procession!
Today, a group of our learners and staff were invited by newly appointed Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Andy Morgan, to attend this special event, having been chosen as one of four local schools to represent him during his year of office. A huge parade gathered at Victoria Square in Bolton town centre for the procession, where the military band and the Shree Mukatajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band led the procession to a special service at Bolton Parish Church.
Traditional hymns were led by the Parish Choir and the New Century String Ensemble of the Bolton Music Service also performed two wonderful pieces of music.
This was an amazing experience for our learners to be involved in and we are very proud as a school to have been chosen by the Mayor to represent him for his year of office!
