Beautiful Work with Outdoor Learning!

This half term in Horticulture, we have been working hard planting a wide variety of seeds, from:

  • Spinach and lettuce to feed the farm animals;
  • Chives and carrots for eating and use in Food Technology lessons, and:
  • Ox Eye Daisy for the meadow

It’s been amazing to see such fantastic teamwork and resilience. Learners in 8LOl1 have planted the most so far!

Take a look at the video below – we’re excited to monitor progress!

Year 7

In our Ecology lessons, Year 7 have been learning about identifying different trees across our outdoor spaces and have also been tidying the staff Quad area to create a relaxing, wellbeing space for staff!

Year 8

Meanwhile, Year 8 have been learning how to identify invertebrates. The curiosity during these lessons was superb and we wish we had more photos of the superb creatures found, but sometimes they were just too fast for the camera!
