Parents' Forum

The Parents Forum is a group set up and run by parents for parents.  We work closely with the teachers and management of the school to help promote good practices and point out and discuss the things that don’t work so well.

Ours is a “whole school” approach trying to improve all aspects of school life for our children; working with staff and students, we have become an important part of the improvement team.  Parental involvement is proven to raise levels of attainment of students who are supported at school and home.

Forum members are fortunate in that the current Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team are more than willing to work with and listen to our views and opinions and often seek our help in tackling matters of concern.  We should make the most of this opportunity to get involved and work with the school on any issues that we as parents feel are important.

The Forum also helps break down any barriers that may exist among parents who feel uncomfortable in raising issues with the school themselves.

Another aspect of the Forums work with the School is Fund Raising.  In this area we aim to hold events and raise money for the school to purchase equipment and resources that can make Ladybridge High a better place for all our children.

We would welcome ideas and support from any parents that want to be involved with their child’s education and help contribute to the school’s success.
