It’s fast approaching our hugely successful Macmillan Bake Off and cake sale, held here at Ladybridge High.  If you are unfamiliar with the proceedings, this is how it goes:
Thursday 20th October is the bake off cake competition, where students will have the opportunity to bake a ‘masterpiece’ and enter it into the competition.  Students need to bring their creations to the drama room, either before school or during Learnacy.  These will be judged and prizes awarded to the lucky students.
Friday 21st October will be the actual cake sale, this will include the competition cakes and any bought or homemade cakes (“Fake it or Bake it”) that weren’t entered on Thursday.  Friday will also be a non-uniform day, where for a £1 donation the students can wear their own clothes.
There will also be a chocolate raffle, where tickets will be sold on the Thursday and Friday.
This has been fantastic and last year we managed to raise over a thousand pounds!! Which I am sure you will agree is going towards a fantastic cause, close to many of our hearts.
So… this year we would love to make it bigger and better and raise more money for this worthy charity:
If you are entering the bake off competition bring your entries into school Thursday 20th October, either before school or during learnacy to the drama room.
If you are bringing shop bought or homemade donations bring them in on Friday 21st October, these will be collected from the form rooms by our helpers during Learnacy.
Bring a £1 donation and wear your own clothes.
Bring some money to buy the cakes and raffle tickets for the chocolate prizes, they will be sold during break and lunchtime on the Friday.
We hope that you get involved and support our event, let’s together help to make it the best one yet!!
