Our aims and our pathways to success for all learners

Our Statement of Intent is:

At Ladybridge High School, 5 Key strands guide our practice.  These key strands make up our Statement of Intent:

‘Deep leadership for deep learning, deep experience and deep support through quality relationships’

What we mean by this is that:

1] We must ensure that the leadership of the school and of our learners is excellent; whether it is the leadership by our Senior Leadership Team, our Directors of Standards, our teachers, our Admin Team, our Site Team or our learners themselves.  If the leadership is excellent, we can transform young people’s lives and we can make the best things happen for them.

2] We must give every single learner the very best possible learning opportunities inside the classroom.  Teaching is a craft and our teachers and Learning Support Assistants take this role very seriously.  Deep learning is critical: if we simply ‘scratch at the surface’ of learning, we will not transform learning and our learners will not ‘soar’.

3] We must also make sure that every experience outside the classroom is enriching.  Learning doesn’t only happen in the classroom.  It is these enrichment activities that help our learners to see the ‘Bigger Picture’ from different settings and perspectives.

4] No matter who we are, we all need advice, guidance and support to help us to be the best we can be.  The support at Ladybridge is second to none.  Above all, it is informed support because we know our learners very well, and we know exactly what each and every child needs.  There is nothing better than feeling a sense of achievement.  Everything we do is geared to making sure that those talents, skills, personal qualities and aspirations are developed, shared and celebrated.  Success breeds success.

5] Good, positive relationships are our linchpin at Ladybridge High School.  We invest time and care in each other and we have built up a strong culture of kindness, warmth and community spirit. In short, we are a happy, thriving school.
