Ladybridge Honours Programme

A hand-selected number of our most able Year 9 students are working towards graduating from our Honours Programme this year. Working on grade nine GCSE standard projects in Music, Geography and Science, they will undertake in-depth research outside the school curriculum in order to gain a different perspective, develop their subject knowledge and improve their study skills. Having completed a number of tutorials, the requisite 2000 word assignment is due on 08 June. Students will then graduate, with university-style accreditation, as part of a whole-school celebration of achievement in the summer. Importantly, students will have the opportunity to visit two contrasting universities in order to begin to plan their futures. Throughout this process, they will be ably assisted by their tutors and last year’s Scholars Programme graduates.
